For more than 50 years, John - also known as Mr. B, Coach, or... Pop - has been doing the work behind the scenes to support small businesses, nonprofits, and individuals with expert guidance in tax, accounting, and financial strategy.

As the original architect of Ultra Business Services, Mr. B is the reason we know what we’re doing - and why we do it differently. With experience spanning the IRS, global oil & gas finance, and decades of small biz support, he’s seen it all, fixed most of it, and still refuses to retire fully - for what? He's sharper than a Ginsu knife, serving as our principal consultant and advisor, offering strategic guidance and reminding us that sometimes the old-school way is the best way… until it isn’t - then he calls Angela.

​But it was his decision to start his own firm, helping local restaurants, bars, and community nonprofits, that laid the foundation and the legacy Ultra Business Services is built on today. His work is marked by relentless curiosity, deep care, and a fierce loyalty to the clients and community he serves.

Angela Bishop Ross is the "behind the scenes" of Ultra Business Services.
With 30 years of experience in business and financial consulting, HR, and operational strategy, Angela helps new and struggling business owners get organized, stay compliant, and build with confidence. Before stepping into the family firm, she held senior roles with companies like Avis, Clorox, Google, Netflix, and Ralph Lauren, as well as advising tech startups and nonprofits.

Angela’s expertise lies in helping business owners navigate the often-overlooked operational and financial mechanics of running a business—from entity setup and tax compliance to people management and process design. Her approach is clear, strategic, and grounded in reality—with a deep understanding of what it takes to build from scratch or get out of a mess.

Today, she leads Ultra Business Services with the same values her father instilled when he founded the firm nearly 40 years ago: community, integrity, and practical support that meets people where they are.
